Lets finish top and get to Old Trafford!

Post by ancientnloyal »

Disheartening as it may be it will take a few days to get over that dire performance.

All eyes are now on Old Trafford starting next week when we batter London.

C'Mon Wigan lets get some bodies back to full fitness and prepare for the playoffs

Ironically for the GF this might be the best thing that has happened. Wire if they make the final will rest a week before and after so should in theory make it easier to get top spot and then for us to wrap players up in cotton wool.

Richards will be back and hope fully TL will be as well. Though i am really looking forward to seeing Matty Smith play for us as its obvious Lockers in no No6 when he is a world class 13. Also Charnley was even 50% fit.

The way i am looking at it. We were awful and we lost by 9 points to a team we gave 16 points start and got some poor decisions by the ref. We completed poorly and missed load of tackles. Will not happen again.

What you said!!

Last year we capitulated after the CC and it showed in the playoffs. I'd much rather win the SL than the CC (other opinions are available) and I hope that this galvanises us. It was a really bad day at the office. A dreadful start, our star player making howlers in front of his his biggest haters, shocking ref decisions etc etc etc. But we don't have to worry about that now. Smith is in now, Lockers back to 13 and onwards and upwards.

The only thing we can do is systematically destroy London and Castleford in the next two games. Reiterate what we're about and put this awful day behind us.

"But look at, look at Lydon go here...Remniscent of those two great tries when he won the Lance Todd... He's got Hanley inside him. He's going all the way..........."

He said he was a couple of weeks away on his twitter 5th of July. Didn't Wane say he had a setback by overexerting himself though?

I don't think that rumor is true at any rate. How many years has he got left on his deal? A year after this?

In a way, it's good that we can concentrate now on old Trafford. Although we won the CC last year, it felt by the end of the year that we'd won nothing.
