Pathetic!! What a team (squad) of bottlers!!!!!

Post by Hanley the God! »

Thanks WRLFC. I´m in Gran Canaria on holiday and just watched the game on TV. Amongst, as you would imagine a load of anti-Wigan supporters.

Well, thanks for ruining my holiday with such a pathetic pile of sh**e.

From the team to the coaching staff, one word - pathetic.

That is twice this season (semi-final against Leeds) we have bottled it and put out a pethetic performance. I thought the Leeds game was bad, but what the hell was that??

And don´t you cherry coloured spectacle supporters go blaming the referee!! Get real!!!

If are lucky enough to get to the Grand Final, I don´t think I´ll be spending a fortune to watch another bottling performance like that.

Sort it out Waney and earn your chuffin´ corn!!

We are going from heroes to zeros (bit like Wire last year!!)

Will be a crying shame and such a waste if we win f**k all this season - but I think it´s on the cards!!

Not happy!!!!!!

This season we have looked very good at winning games against average sides with the one exception of Widnes where the coach made a howling error in showing Widnes no respect.
Our Plan A is a beautiful thing to watch and when it works, it' to the tune of about 40 points a game.
However, when it is shut down as per today, we have no idea how to change tactics and find another way to win. We certainly cannot win ugly.
Out coached today by more experienced coach and I was heartened to hear SW say that he had to work harder when he was interviewed after the game.

I'm so disappointed as I really think silverware is out of the question now. The exiles game has a LOT to answer for but that will never be recognised by the RFL who maintain it's a good idea.

Gutted tonight watching the team I love just disintegrate. They are better than this but they have to perform. And in big games they just aint.

pack going forwards nothing backs no space to do anything = a team with no space and no idea, old school rugby would say possession and field position wins you games, our problem is that we aint won the collision and then keep the possession therefore we lose vital ground

mr wane has a lot of work to do

Now there's a bloke posting with a few beers inside them  But I agree even if I may have been slightly more eloquent about it.

I don't think anyone's blaming Ganson. For me he was very good. The only howling error was their forward pass for their third try but the TJ should have called that.

H the G, have another beer and enjoy that you're on holiday. I sympathise with you. If it's any conciliation, I have to see one of my oncology nurses this week who's a big Wire fan. That's going to be fun!!!!!

Chin up mate. We all feel your pain!!

Great posts guys. No histrionics just calling it as it is and I agree with everything said.

Still rate Shaun as the best man to coach Wigan but boy, he has a bit to learn about strategy!

"I want to win every game" might not be the best plan. On Boots n All he eschewed Tony Smith's rotation strategy but it worked for them today. We humiliated Leeds in a 'nothing game' before they stuffed us when it counted.

No-one can question Wane's commitment to a Wigan team and the same can be said for Rush at St Helens but that in itself is not enough. You need to have an understanding of strategy which Shaun has yet to accept.

I've said numerous times that Leeds are deliberately aiming for 5th place again. I'm going to stick my neck out here and call the GF between the 2 best strategists, Smith and McDermott.

As for us, I am not expecting anything at all from this season!

Yep. My heart goes out to Hanley the God. Gran Canaria must be a blast of a holiday resort if all there is to do is watch TV, get pissed and start bitchin on his bloody smartphone.

Just got back from the Halliwell Jones. We were crap there is no point dressing it up in pleasant language. We were outclassed, out played and out Briersed. We never looked liked we had come to win from the kick off.

I don't think that many of that many of the Wigan Players were fully fit. Waney, says he wants Wigan to finish at the top of the pile at the end of the regular season. We are going to have to play a lot better than that if that is going to happen, now we have only a 1 point cushion.

Smith, the Wire Coach, planned our downfall and did a good job. I don't think any of our players ahave much to be proud of tonight.
