The local rag is offering Wire fans a free 'scrum cap' to wear at Wembley it looks like one of those creations stamped out of cheap plastic and if Wire fans turn up at Wembley in these they will put the north of England back 30 years especially if they all look as daft in them as Steven Broomhead doeshttp://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/spo ... _Guardian/
Under the headline "Wolves looking good for double gold" it also says if rugby league was in the Olympics Wolves would have won team gold against Wigan on Saturday. Can someone pass me the sick bucket please even though it is probably true
Free scrum caps with Warrington Guardian !

The picture is of a lad age four. The Guardian has it about right, that's the average mind set of Wires fans.

Further down the piece there are three small pics underneath the little lad, the one on the right is of the WBC chief exec who is also chairman of the Wolves. He says he will be wearing his scrumcap at Wembley. They're ok as a newspaper freebie for kiddies but urging everyone to wear them at the final just made me squirm. I live in Warrington so probably feel it more than you guys in Wigan - they've only just taken the flags off their cars and houses from 2 years back! Suppose I can understand their excitement after all the time without success and most of their older fans are ok but just can't really be happy for them with all the head cases that have jumped on the bandwagon in the last couple of years.
