Play off Admission Prices

Well I think having to fork out £42 for two seats when both of us are season ticket holders is a joke.

At that price I would normally have a hard time justifying it but my son is off to Uni at the end of September so this will be has last home game for a while so we are going.

What I can't do though is justify another £21 for me on top of the petrol costs from Chester and back assuming we get another home game.

I booked online but I am going to query it anyway as my son is a student so I am a bit miffed he got charges full price anyway.

I reserved one this morning for a family member who is a student, but when he bought the season ticket he bought it as a student with the concession. When I log onto the site to book for him, he automatically comes up as a concession with the reduction already applied.

You should still get a concession with a valid student card though as far as I am aware

Went for our tickets at noon today, queue half way across car park for starters and only two windows open which were then reduced to one after some woman who apparently works in the office at the DW tottered round the corner with a bloke in tow, they promptly went to the front of the queue and he hogged the window for about 20 minutes while the rest of us kissed our lunchtime goodbye. No wonder sometimes that folk decide to stay at home and watch on tv

Surely, there should be a discount for season ticket holders for all non league home games in the Challenge Cup and the Play Off's when they are the most loyal supporters?

Take it up with the club then. Play off, cup games etc are not club games, they are RFL games.
Even the programmes are RFL products.

Apparently, the prices and discounts are set by the RFL. Only shows that yet again, those at Red Hall have no idea when it comes to boosting the attendances for non season ticket games.

Haven't they said that this year all kids tickets at play off games are £5. That is a step in the right direction but still a long way off what is needed to fill stadiums and really get people buying in to the playoffs.

There was a time 10 years or so ago that we only paid £2.50 or £3 for home play offs if we were season ticket holders. I'm sure that happened - but i was a student concession back then so it might have just been for concessions.

The RFL probably want more people watching Sky, even if it is just the few thousand usually loyal supporters that get priced out of play off games.

I don't think i could not go to a home one (even though I don't live in Wigan), i would sacrifice elsewhere, but i am less likely to bother with away ones in these times.

£5 tickets for kids are only availble for the South Stand we were told last Friday,to get a ticket for the seat my son has sat in all year cost us £14 in the east stand.
Was far from happy last week when paying out for them.

Just buy your tickets online :conf: , i never understand why people like to waste all day queuing for tickets they can purchase sat in the warmth of their house

According to the RFL, its £5 for all juniors in their advertising but get away with it by saying it is subject to ground conditions, what ever that means as each club has different conditions like all seating or seating and standing. In Wigan's case I think it stinks as many kids in the East Stand do not get the discount. So much for the loyal support of Junior Season Ticket Holders in that stand.

My son wasn't a student when he got his season ticket but classed as a "young adult", 16-18 years so that was his concession. Now even though he is 18 so still a "young adult" that doesn't apply for this ticket.

As he has left school and not yet gone to Uni he obviously didn't apply for his season ticket as a student and so they don't know he is one.

If someone has season ticket that gives them a concessionary rate it ought to apply for the playoffs for that season.
