Thank you George

Well today is the final home game a guy that has put his body on the line week in week out. I hope you guys give him a great send off. There are others on the field like Tommy, and Geoff but they deserve there own goodbye thread as well. I will let someone else start those. But from me, George Carmont, enjoy your last home game for us and all the best in retirement, Jim

robable one of the most under the radiar signing (he wasn't a big name when he came from NRL) that turned out to be one of the best overseas player wigan as ever had. Brilliant centre! His foot work is amazing and his deffence is like a brick wall. He always seems to lie and a delay the play the ball just enough to not get penalised.

I will echo the above sentiments. What a player what a guy and will be sadly missed.Normally I will head out as soon as the final whistle blows as I have a long journey home. But I shall be staying behind this evening to say goodbye to George,Finchy,Tommy, etc to show my appreciation for contributions. :eusa2: :eusa2: :eusa2:

At one stage, Richards was our most under-rated player until he got all those awards  , and then it was George.

I think it's taken some time for the majority of fans to recognise just how important he is to the side.

Which I was there tonight, but running the Berlin marathon this weekend so can't make it. Give George, Tommy and Brett (oh, and nearly forgot big Jeff) a big cheer and thank you from me.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Highland convert you beat me to it :) I came on here just to say much the same. George has been simply awesome and it is very sad to think we will not see him or Tommy gracing the DW stadium in a Wigan shirt after tonight. There have been many players I have been sorry to leave in my time watching Wigan and George and Tommy are up there with the best of them. Good luck to all who are leaving, hope Tommy loves his time on the other side of the world with the other warriors and a special goodbye and good luck to you Mr George Carmont I hope life is good to you sir and that you miss us because we will certainly miss you. :eusa2:
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
