Giving Stu a two year deal is risk free.
If his injuries reoccur and he has to retire it does not cost the club his salary on the salary cap.
Given the experience we have lost I'd have given him a two year deal here. We must have money to burn given who has left and because we have not made any big name signings so if the money is there I'd have given it to him if you see what I mean.
As to his time here it didn't work out as planned but I will never forget 2006 and the impact he made when he arrived. He got the fans up for it big time and was worth the money for that season alone IMO as relegation would have been a disaster.
