I too thought he was on a very big contract at Tigers BUT you never know.

Does anybody think Wigan have a lot of room in their salary cap? We normally keep 100K as a contingency. I know Taylor/Green + new deal for Josh/upgrade young players etc BUT Lima, Finchy, Fielden, George, Tommy IMO would be on more collectively.
And if you've read (and believe) the article that Finch did saying he turned a big contract offer down from us to go back to the storm, then we must have a decent chunk left.

So is it definately Adam Blair then?

In principle, I am against bringing in anyone on silly money á la Barrett. IMO the problems far outweigh the benefits!

I agree and we cannot do that because we already have with Sam T.

But what is the point in a salary capped sport not using the full amount of the cap if you can afford it?

We've been playing with on 3/4's of our cap for a while now as we have carried Fielden & Amos the last 2 years, so IMO, spend it.

We never spend it completely as we keep 100K in reserve as a contingency fund BUT I agree. Something does not add up IMO without seeing the accounts; Taylor / Green and Charnley/young players does not add up to what has left. Tommy would have been on a great contract. Lima / Finchy whilst we took advantage of the Storm fiasco were not on buttons etc. IMO er must have cut more from the cap than we spent.

I have also spoken to the guy who owns the house Ben Flowers was living in, and he has moved, whether it is to a new house in Wigan or back to Wales I do not know, but it is strange as he has only been in the house for 12 months. And for the disbelievers, Ben Flowers lived at the first house on the left in Park Hey Drive Appley Bridge. When I hear rumours in future, I will not post as it is not worth the comments that come back.
Don't stop posting ddtftf, your rumours or anything else for that matter is spot on :)

Agree, I think Blair on a one or two year deal would be well worth the risk. How old is btw?

So is this the possible high profile signing referred to in another thread? His size is immense and it does make you wonder what happened at Wests if it is Blair. As they say form is temporary, class is permanent. If he comes to us lets hope it's the latter!
