Re: Hock Injured
A sport ban would be OK provided he doesn't have a criminal record.jasonnlouise wrote:Has he not gone due to his ban for drug use? dont think he would be allowed in USA.

Damaged shoulder requires a operation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Think there's a bit of over analysis going on here. Not everything needs a conspiracy theory.cpwigan wrote:Damaged shoulder requires a operation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Hock Injured
During the days of Maurice Lindsay, Hock under his other name of Charnock went missing for a spell and then re-appeared as Hock. At the time of his absence, I was told that he was in a young offenders centre for offences to do with cars's. If this true, then he would not be allowed into the USA as he would indeed have a criminal record. Does anyone know if this correct?

That's one quick way of changing it from a fact to a rumour.

Charnock is the surname of his birth father. Mother and father divorced, mother remarried and he adopted his step fathers surname. Nothing whatsoever to do with Wigan RLFC etc.
Hock is allowed into any country. If you want a true story or at the least a good story. Hocky one thought he needed a passport to go to Scotland!
Mindo you plenty of Scots would argue his assumption was/should be true

Check the records at the time I have said and you will find that he was absent from the club for a period. I am also well aware of the change of name from Charnock to Hock having to do with his parents.

What is your problem with Hock?Whelley Warrior wrote:cpwigan

The guy was brough up in a wild crazy environment. His mother etc got him out of that environment. People like Brian Foley helped too on the rugby side. He has no criminal convictions and is free to come and go etc.
Strewth this thread was about an operation. An operation that is a statement of fact. His shoulder was causing problems at the back end of last season too.
Most RL players come from testing background. Very few were brought up with a silver spoon in their mouth.
