Why send him on loan then? He is a current England International. This doesn't make any sense.cpwigan wrote:I believe you will learn that Gaz Hock will be off on a lengthy loan (season?) to Widnes. He has not been disciplined / fined for anything by the club.

What do you think will happen to Hock after his loan has ended? Any chance he would be playing in Super League next season CPW?cpwigan wrote:I believe you will learn that Gaz Hock will be off on a lengthy loan (season?) to Widnes. He has not been disciplined / fined for anything by the club.

Obviously irreconcilable personality clash with the coach!DaveO wrote:Why send him on loan then? He is a current England International. A loan move is very clever by ILmichael inch stoke wrote:What do you think will happen to Hock after his loan has ended? Hock can either be sold at a later date OR return under a new coach. The pressure to deliver success in 2013 has been increased tenfold upon Waney. So what happens to Hock depends on Waney delivering or not delivering the degree of success IL demands.

Which is going to be that bit much harder without Hock in the side.cpwigan wrote:A loan move is very clever by ILmichael inch stoke wrote:What do you think will happen to Hock after his loan has ended? Most fans will not like seeing who many consider one of Wigan's best players out on loan and will want to know why. It's going to be very hard for IL (and Wane) to avoid giving an explanation as the press will simply ask them direct what is going on.
Also while it might be politically astute by IL it does in fact represents a management failure. It's a cop out. He has basically been unable to get Hock and Wane to work together.
It also represents a failure on both Wane and Hock's part and suggests Wane can't deal with awkward players and Hock lacks professionalism. Some of the best players we have ever had could be described as awkward. God knows how IL and Wane would have dealt with the likes of Edwards, Gregory and Hanley.
Of course this is assuming all of what you say comes to pass and he is in fact loaned out.
If it does come to pass I just hope Wane isn't going to do as he did last season with loanees and let Hock play against Wigan.

Widnes fan posted on rlfans the loan deal with Widnes has fallen through.
Didn't say why.

The rental fee was the only thing not agreed at the start of today. I presume that has been the stumbling block if it has fallen through.DaveO wrote:Widnes fan posted on rlfans the loan deal with Widnes has fallen through.

If you were Hock, would you want to go to Salford or Widnes when you were still a member of a International Squad?
I think not unless I was getting the bulk of the money allowed in the salary cap
