Re: Hock Injured
Anyone would think it was the end of Wigan Warriors, if Hock leaves.
Come on, bigger and better players have left over the year's and in site of the odd spell of mediocrity, we always been at the top.
Roll on the season, Hock or no Hock.

Re: Hock Injured
Wigan as a club cannot win! Some call for more information and clarification on behind the scenes issues and when they do provide information they are berated for going public. One thing any successfulclub needs is a stron boss and leader and whether players love or hate him is immaterial you have to stay professional. Look at Manchester Utd - Fergie is the difference he is the boss and no one questions or messes with him and they are better for it. Beckham and Stam are two high profile players who tried and thought they were bigger and both came a cropper and Man Utd just went rolling on. In todays sport players are getting far too powerful and big for their boots. Get rid of Hock - yes a very good player but a bloody liability and the type of bloke to unbalance team morale. Good on ya IL/SW!
Re: Hock Injured
Having read IL's statement this morning i have no problem with Wigan offloading Hock. You can't have players trying to hold the club to ransom with demands and threats of witholding labour if they don't get their own way.
Gaz is a fabulous player, but he's not bigger than the club.
Hats off to the board/coach.

Re: Hock Injured
The statement by IL is IMO trying to convince the fans , the club and possibly himself that there is justification in loaning Hock . Before today we have never heard of any issues with Hock under Madge , I can't recall him being dropped for games , yes he's been suspended for gouging and fighting etc but nothing comes to mind about attitude as per today's " bomb shell " .cpwigan wrote:So the press release has worked then. Do you not find it odd that the press release states Hock has been a nightmare since Madge was here YET IL / WANEY / LOCKERS everybody was until recently praising Hock to high heaven.Whelley Warrior wrote:cpwigan

Either people have been lying for 18 months or today was a fairytale. All fans newed to do is look at statement made in the past 18 months by IL / Wane about Hock. The Hock contract was easy to cancel and launch a legal case against him anyhow. For such a mare how odd Steve Maxc wanted him for England, the Aussies want him, Salford, Widnes and OTHERS want him. The boy is good but he's no Wally Lewis or Andrew Johns is he.
Somewhere things are being made up. Surely fans can realise that. It's not difficult WW. I stand by what I said. The club is in the gutter!!
I've no doubt he said he didn't want to play for Wigan at this time , but you have to ask why would a bloke suddenly wake up one day and think " you know what I want out of Wigan " . I bet the reasons why are far more serious than " he wanted more money " .
It would be interesting to here Hocks side to the story but I quess that won't happen any time soon .
Keep Wigan "Wigan"

The real story is out there. Too many people seem to be aware of it so its only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan. Personally, I can't see Wane surviving this season!

What do you think Stuey, do you want SW as coach now?
