Why did they let Farrell go ????

I still find myself asking the question....why did they let Andrew Farrell leave Wigan RL ???????? I know we cannot blame our poor form on One player, Farrell !!!! But it all fell apart after he left, injuries and seriously BAD defeats !!!!!!!!! Biggest mistake EVER to release him from Wigan RL !!!!!!!! I bet Andrew is now feeling rather crap, as I know he will still feel some loyalty to his old team !!! Thanks again Mo, good decision...NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy Farrell wanted to leave, it was his decision to move on. Why would us wigan fans want him to stay if he feels he should be somewhere else! Lets stop dwelling on the past and lets look to the future!

I know, it's nowt do with Faz now we wouldn't be winning much more with Faz. He wanted to go, he got out of his contract, Mo probably didn't want him to go but there is only so much you can do to suade someone to stay, Fazs fault for leaving not Mos/

Exactly, farrell isn't and never again will be a wigan player. We cant say we've lost farrell this season because technically we have never had him.
This is nothing to do with him anymore, he may of left us in the lurch but it's nothing to do with him, its to do with wigan and what we're going to do to improve.

I agree with you i don't think having Faz in our squad at the moment would make that much of a difference. Got to admit though i'm terrified whats going to happen to us this season with all the injuries.

Of course it would have mad a difference. We might have only let 50 in with Farrell playing.

i can't see why he can't come to our training sessions to motivate the players and pass on his rugby league intellegence.
he would do that if he cared about us

Because players cant carry that onto the pitch, that is the worst possible thing he could do. If he cared about us he'd leave the coaching to the coaches and get on with his own career.

I said the same thing at the time it happened but had plenty of people on my back saying things like if you got the chance of a better job you would leave and that due to his loyalty over 14 years the club could not stand in his way etc.

Well I for one knew how important he was to the club and so is Radlinski. These two are are/were our best players by a long way and we let Farrell slip away very easily.

I said at the time we needed him to see the season out and since he left and Lockers got injured we have not had a recognised 13 of SL standard available to us. Having no 13 of good enough standard, such a pivotal position, is a major reason why we are so bad IMO.

In Farrell and Radlinski you have two of the most commited players who always give 100% in every game. I can't ever recall thinking that either of them were not giving their all.

If the club makes the same mistake over Radlinski they are asking to be relegated IMO.

I agree. Faz is now a part of Wigan's history. He should recognise that the immediate future lies with the players and coaches that are currently at the club, and let them get on with the task of trying to make something of the remainder of the season.
