That was at the Hull game when he crashed into the hoarding & broke his legDaveO wrote:Seems longer than that as well to me.ddtftf wrote:I have been having an argument with my son who says it is only 4 years since Calderwood ( The centre) left Wigan. I think it is a lot longer than that, can anyone help. Ps he says Calderwood was centre when Trent Barret was here.
I will always remember his tries v Bradford in the playoffs in that epic game. Barrett took the game by the scruff of the neck (changing Noble's tactics IMO) and Calderwood got more ball in one game than he did all season. I think he must have thought he was playing RU half the time.
Crashed into the advertising and put himself out of the next round.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Calderwood
There was a great try that Calderwood and Ashton put on between the two of them at Headingley. I can't actually remember which one scored it but they passed it around two or three times between each other and went almost the full length. It was the RL version of the Cole & Yorke goal at Barcelona in '99

Can you not quote a post instead of using my/or any one else's name to draw attention to your reply to the post :exc:Whelley Warrior wrote:Josie Andrews

Ashton was given a bad time by Millward when he was coach. He was given the number one shirt & the position as fullback only for Brian Noble to bring in Withers who proceeded to play fullback while Ashton dropped down in the pecking order!
As far as I'm concerned he would have been with us for a few seasons if that hadn't occurred :exc:

It's just YOUR opinion, & there is no truth in that at all :exc:
