The subject says it all. This will happen at the end of the season too.

In this week of all weeks you should give it a rest.

Good to see you are still behind the team Kol.
Lost by 4 with several players out, but no doubt it is all SW's fault. I believe he coaches players to miss tackles and throw wild passes on purpose.
What are you going to do if we end up getting to the GF and heaven forbid win it. No doubt it will be down to poor coaching from other teams that gets us there!
Sounds like you have just been sat there waiting for a loss so you can twist the knife a little more!

Every game matters and we have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 2!!

Leeds are the Champions and playing at home. We were fairly solid but not spectacular.
Missing Hansen, Mossop & Tomkins, IMO 3 of the best players in the competition in there respective positions and Goulding clearly needs a couple more hit outs to het back upmto speed after a fairly serious illness.
We've lost narrowly to the in form team of super league and the reigning SL Champions - on their own turf.
Given our injuries, youth, new half back pairings I think Wane is doing a great job.

Listen you trophy hunting little maggot. What on Earth has any of the current games got to do with anything in the run of the full season?
Fact of the matter is these game are nothing more than a precursor to the seasons real start in September when the play-off's start - courtesy of SKY.
It's a simple fact Gareth that you cannot hack playing at a lower level team and the bitterness and resentment you show is being mirrored in the petulance and total stupidity currently on offer for Widnes first team displays - enjoy your "success" there :sly:

Totally agree, none of these games matter beyond winning enough to make the 5. Did we not destroy Leeds at Headingley last season in one of these meaningless round games only to lose when it mattered.Mike wrote:Why did this one matter and the Cats one last week didn't?
As Mike says all the games either matter or do not matter.

In my opinion this sums up all that is wrong with the present format. When i bought my season ticket it was in the hope that WRLFC win all matches, not just meaningful matches.cpwigan wrote:Totally agree, none of these games matter beyond winning enough to make the 5.Mike wrote:Why did this one matter and the Cats one last week didn't?

It could be argued the competition up to the play-offs is a fraud, and money is being taken under false pretenses.
Am i the only one who enjoyed the atmosphere far more when Wigan were indanger of going down. The team played with far more commitment and passion.
To sit back and think "oh it doesnt matter we,ve only got to beat the bottom 6 clubs home and away then we can start" is not my idea of sport.

Great thread. Our young injury hit team almost pulled it off but eventually lost by a mere 4 points away to a team who are the best in the competition when they choose to be!
