Apparently.
Long seems to have some decent coaching ability from what people say and despite his 'antics' his father was no mug in that department either.
His dad was a decent player as well cp I played rugby with him. (a long time ago now).He had a good mentor in Denis Mc hugh.

Salford City Reds: Sean Long resigns as assistant coach
Salford City Reds assistant coach Sean Long has left his position, reports BBC Radio Manchester.
The move comes after Brian Noble's appointment as the new head coach at the Salford City Stadium.
The 36-year-old former Great Britain scrum-half moved to the Reds in August 2011 as assistant to then head coach Matt Parrish.
Long has been linked with a move back to his former club Wigan Warriors to coach their youth side.
Long began his career at Wigan, but it was with arch-rivals St Helens where he made his name, featuring in four title-winning sides, and also featured for Widnes and Hull FC.

Don't want him here

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?
Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

I don't understand that response either!cpwigan wrote:Why?Matthew wrote:Don't want him here
He could be extremly advantageous to our first team halves & our up & coming young players IMO
And I don't think Shaun Wane or Kris Radlinski would put up with any of the shenanigans he used to get up to when he was young.
