New Signing.

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

If Mossop leaves, he will be replaced by another and based on his form so far this season and the form of other props he will not be missed that much.

For all we know, Mossop's agent may have started the rumour to secure a better contract?
According to Waney all the existing props have issues. Mossop must have something to attract such attention from the NRL and it was to my knowledge the NRL who showed the interest first rather than visa versa.

If he does go I would like Wigan to work it so we have the option for him to return in 2 seasons etc.

If a player wants to go elsewhere, there is very little the club can do about it, especially when there is more money in Union and the NRL.

The answer is to keep producing other players which is exactly what Wigan do!

Exactly, if its another Super League team who are the interested party we stand a decent chance of keeping the player.

If it's a club from the NRL or union then as much as we dislike it due to the financial gap all we can do is gain the best deal possible for the club and then reinvest that money wisely.

So why did Sam deny the Powell signing.

Was this a ploy by the club to allow all the ins and outs to be announced together and create spin to offset the bad news of Mossop and Sam going to NRL? :eusa16:

I reckon Sam just scribbles down a few bullet points and his column is 'written' by someone else. He probably was told and believed it wasn't going to happen. Either way, I bet he wasn't pleased to be made to look a fool!

I bet Sam and Iestyn Harris as well, are bothered about being used as a distraction until the press conference to announce the signing.
