Hock back for the Play-Offs?

Post by ajsefc »

If Widnes don't make the Top 8 will Hock be able to feature for us in the play-offs?
Even if they do, presuming they're eliminated before us of course, would Hock be then eligible for Wigan.

I know Matty Smith was a few years back when he was on loan at Salford played for Saints after Salfords season was over.

At the time depending on form/injuries whether he'd get into the team is a different debate.

But a Charged up Gaz Hock off the bench for his swan song could be quite a weapon IMO.

I don't think there is any chance of it at all. Hock will have his mind elsewhere even if Wigan were to consider it.

As to someone missing out that is not an issue. The idea is to win trophies and if you can add someone to the squad later in the season to help do this then so be it. If we do that though I am sure it won't be Hock!

Hock wouldn't be fit enough because widnes' fitness isn't very good hence they can never last the full 80 playing well.

Having Hock back is a terrible idea. Like Medlocke refers to, what kind of message would that send out to the current players, who have so far worked there arse off for Wigan RL?
I think as Wigan RL fans, we should have got used to the idea of life without Hock. He's gone. A fantastic player but he's gone. Faz has been brilliant.
I do not see any benefit of having Hock back this season.

Just a quick note with regards to Hock. I do not think he will play for Wigan again. I doubt he will last the two years down under, I think because of disciplinary issues/home sickness.
It would not surprise me if he come back early and Wigan would choose not to want him.

You're probably right there Neenaw. But ignore anything Medlocke says about Hock. He has his own agenda which would prefer Wigan to lose the GF rather than win it with Gaz in the team.

He's entitled to his opinion!

All I'll say us that I have monitored this site for years with Interest, so I'm aware of people's online characters!
But Medlocke makes a cracking point on this occasion.
Hock back this season would be a backwards step.
