I left Wigan at the age of sixteen and am now 61.But I have always had Wigan in my heart.My true passion is WRLFC but I am proud as punch whenever anyone or anything is mentioned from Wigan. And I was as proud as punch that the Latics deservedly won the FA cup.Bloody well done Latics. From what I saw it seemed as though you where the favorite's and not the underdogs. The best team won and that was the Latics. And I wish that people would stop being so damned churlish and remember that for a small town in Lancashire we certainly let the world know who we are. And that through sport.Be it rugby league or football we will always give our best because we are Wigan. Well done Wigan Athletic. :eusa2: :eusa2:

'Latics did the town of Wigan proud though. I concur with the comments regards the signs as you drive back into town, it does make you feel chuffed.

Will be back down London next week for the London Bronco's game, got match tickets, overnight stay at the St. Giles, Witherspoons 200 yards away - bring it on!

The signs should simply say, Home of Super League Rugby League and Premier League Football.

That way they only need to be changed if a club changes Division and not every time a club win's a trophy otherwise in the case of Wigan, the signs would have to altered on regular basis and incur too much cost.

"One off" signs being put up at a time that the Council are telling you that cut backs of up to £80 million have to be made, Council Employee's are losing their jobs, Libraries and Day Centre's being closed etc, etc.

Will the Councillor's, especially Latic's supporters like Molyneux and Ready be paying for the sign's out of their lucrative expenses.

The answer is NO!
