"One off" signs being put up at a time that the Council are telling you that cut backs of up to £80 million have to be made, Council Employee's are losing their jobs, Libraries and Day Centre's being closed etc, etc.
Will the Councillor's, especially Latic's supporters like Molyneux and Ready be paying for the sign's out of their lucrative expenses.
The answer is NO!
For God's sake!! Let them have their 15 minutes of fame.
It was quite an achievement when you think that the poorest side in the PL beat the multi millionnaires that is Man City.
Don't be so bitter :exc:
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Compared to the wages of the players at Man City, Wigan Athletic are paupers

Quite right Josie, we should be happy a Wigan club has won a major trophy, not whinging about a sign. It brings a feel good factor to the town, we should be publicising our achievements not whining on about money. I for one will be wishing them good luck tonight against Arsenal. :eusa3:

Whining about the Council wasting money may not be important to some, but it is to those being affected by the cut backs.
And no surprise with your comment seeing that you only comment on anything in support of the Latic's.
Whelley Warrior, the thread happens to be called Good Luck Latics, if you wish to moan I suggest you start a thread called Bah Humbug Latics. Incidentally, of all my posts on this site I have only commented on Latics about 4 times, I'm proud to support both teams and make no apologies for this. Sorry if you are affected by the cutbacks but surely publicising the towns achievements can only be good for business.
