Have I missed something?
No you havent missed anything. Its all the conspiracy theories mate.IMO Sam's got an injury that is stopping him from playing, the club are trying to keep it as quiet as possible because it is an injury that could keep him out for a while. Some people add 2&2 and get Sams getting to big for the club.

IMO again i think its touch and go if Sam is fit for Wembley.
Sam will play at Wembley back spasm or not. He is the guy for the big occassion and one of the few players who has the X Factor.
I dont think its his back thats the problem,I think these excuses as to why he's not been playing are all a smoke screen. He very well could play at Wembley for the reason you stated but like i stated "if Sam is FIT for Wembley".

Actually, I think that quote was directed at Ferguson. If our team plays as if they are as injured as Fergie we'll be laughing.

It was. And those badly chosen words ("Looks to me like John Ferguson is carrying a leg") were uttered seconds before Fergie ran half the length of the pitch to touch down!

Personally I am convinced that Sam has a knee problem that needs surgery.

IMO their is no other satisfactory explanation
how that stacks up this weekend we will wait and see

Is this just based on personal speculation? Sam has apparently been training and playing golf etc so if his knee was so bad surely we would know?

It is probably about as much SPECULATION as your APPARENTLY he has been training and playing golf!! The bottom line is no one really knows how fit or injured Sam is except himself, coaches and physios. I for one would like to think that Sam is the type of player that if he is fit enough to play he plays without risking making an injury worse that could cost him a place in a MAJOR FINAL, common sense for me, no conspiracy theory at all!!
