Disappearing crowds at CC finals despite the official figures?
I say CCF crowd was much smaller that the 2011 one, despite the "official" figures!?
Was @ both & observed lots of red seats everywhere this year in particular more so than 2011
Middle tier of Wembley was virtually empty (again!), more empty seats then people in the corporate sections, where I sat bottom tier side view there where lots of empty seats here (they where filled in 2011!)
Empty seats upper tier behind goal at our end it wasn't in 2011
To those who challenge this be so kind as to take look @ BBC I_-PLAYER of the game to see what I say , pause & play during the game to see the patches or large swathes of red plastic everywhere
If the attendance is over >70,000 i say someone is having a laff? Wot think you for the record?
Truth shall set me free n all!

Why are you trying to find a problem, we have just won the challenge cup 78,137 is a fact there is no reason what so ever for them to lie. FFS enjoy the day and cut this moaning shit outloyalbelfast wrote:I say CCF crowd was much smaller that the 2011 one, despite the "official" figures!?

If you read his other posts about the match and our win he is not moaning at all. Just an observation.Kaii wrote:Why are you trying to find a problem, we have just won the challenge cup 78,137 is a fact there is no reason what so ever for them to lie. I disagree. The poster is a constant. If you read 99% of his /her posts they are nothing but a criticism of fans (or lack of) and the empty seats he/she sees in every televised game. They might have enjoyed the win, but like "Kaii" pointed out still managed to find time to post complaints yet again about empty seats that Club Wembley more than likely had but couldn't be arsed to watchDaveO wrote:If you read his other posts about the match and our win he is not moaning at all. The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.
The best form of defence is attack!!
Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

Re: Disappearing crowds at CC finals despite the official figures?
It is just a simple on the day observation especially when hearing over the tannoy what the official figures were (so why label it as a some sort of negative critisim of Wigan?!) Sitting in my seat only had to look around the ground to see what i saw (through the rain!1)
If I was there on my own I would have still enjoyed the win
IMO (Backed up by the TV cameras) less fans (all RL ones) are travelling to Wembley year in year out
If one has the time (& indeed the interest) pls take a look at past past TV highlights of the CC finals when the new Wembley first got opened crowd wise & scan the ground to see what seats are empty as the years past by
We had more fans in 2011 to what we had yesterday - this is not a slight just what I see as putting over a fact against the official overall attendance figure

looked about the same as 2011 to me, but below offical figure. I think they do need to address crowd figures across the game urgently, but I bet its hard to do at Wembley due to the costs of staging an event there.

Re: Disappearing crowds at CC finals despite the official figures?
You can only go off the official figures. You can't look round the stadium and say whether there are more or less empty seats as you get a distorted view depending on where you are in relation to the empty seats.
It will never be a sell out due to all the season tickets Wembley sold when trying to pay for the stadium, so to get around 80000 is pretty good. A better question would be how many unsold tickets there were.

Re: Disappearing crowds at CC finals despite the official figures?
I would ask the question "How many tickets are owned by Club Wembley"?
These are people who have the tickets for every event at Wembley irrespective of their desire to actually watch something that doesn't interest them (for those who are not aware)
Additionally the question should also be asked about the number of tickets that were snapped up by Coach Companies for their package deals that remained unsold but still counted on the official crowd figures

That's exactly the problem! Corporate boxes etc. that are sold - presumably by 'Club Wembley' (I know waht you mean!)and they pick the games they want to watch.butt monkey wrote:I would ask the question "How many tickets are owned by Club Wembley"?
