It was this game's equivalent of Joel's try against Leeds in 2011 for me.

Watched the game back on BBC already and they were suggesting it could have been a knock on by Charnley or even offside when Lockers picked it up. What should have been said is that is one of the biggest moments you'll see at Wembley. Great effort by Josh and Lockers. Wilkin to his credit said even if the refs decided to give Hull a set down there, it wouldn't matter because the way Wigan were defending meant Hull wouldn't score anyway.

They were right, it should have been a scrum to Hull, Fantastic effort from Josh and Lockers but Josh deliberately knocked the ball out so it was a knock on.

Put it this way, if it had been the other way round, I'd have been screaming for a scrum.

There were a couple. As well as the one near the line, there was on on about the 30m that was just as good.

Thornley had a cracking match all round. 3 or 4 good tackles, took the ball up strongly and took his try well. Just needed to get his winger away but not easy in the rain.

Its clear side on even front on but all the officials are behind it so there is no chance at normal speed they could have known Charnley knocked it out. From their angles it looked like a drop by the Hull player.

Or do we expect next year that Usain Bolt to ref with touch judges of Justin Gatlin and Nesta Carter.

It is not so clear cut Ian. On the face of it the ball went forward but several experts always state you cannot knock the ball on when facing your own try line, you even get players when they field a long kick turn towards their own try line.

Maybe that was Wane's plan all week. Using players to specifically target Hull's key men. If so it worked. And it made a change from Sam being on the receiving end all the time even though he still got more than his fair share of cheap shots!
