Theres no way Matty Smith should of won the Lance Todd, he had a good day but Josh Charnley was outstanding

His try saving tackle was a match winner and he worked hard but he never had a sniff on attack as the ball rarely came his way. Had he got on the score sheet he may have been in with a chance of the LT but I think Smith's constant turning of the Hull defenders was a key part of why we won.

Awful lot of Stains fans bitter at having let him go in favour of Eastmond who let them down so badly, especially as they haven't had any decent half backs all season. The Lance Todd Trophy has merely rubbed salt in the wound!

The best he has played since the playoffs he played in for them before he left Saints. Pretty ironic for them.

My thoughts exactly. Except for us, he did it in the final!

I can't even think of one kick from Smith that went straight to a Hull player without them having to make up space for it in the air, in fact all game the only one i can think of was one out of dummy half by Logan that Briscoe had read well and dropped back for on the 4th.
One kick in the 2nd half went straight to the hands of a Hull player on the Hull left and that was it.
I'm not even sure that was Smith, it was the one ou of dummy half that went to Briscoe, I thought Logan kicked it. Either way, Smith kicked brilliantly well.

It was Mickey Mac that kicked it!!

That'll be "should HAVE won . . ." Please write in English!

And I disagree. Matty was excellent in part of an all round good team performance in atrocious conditions. Other moments stood out, but taking the game as a whole, a well deserved MOM for me.
