Well you must be because it was you who claimed they had one.

I did the obvious thing and checked the stats on-line. An example Burrow has made 28 appearances last season and 27 in 2013 so far. Mcguire made 26 in 2012, Sinfield was ever present.

Key players playing the majority of games means no selection policy. It's just common sense to reach that conclusion based on how many times they played. It is obvious when they are fit, they play.I claimed no such thing what I actually said was (Remember last season how many posters mae comments on the whino's selection policy. Tell me how I made that claim. It was you who made the definitive claim that they did not have a selection policy.

Do sponsors, sponsor the team to watch the likes of Sam Tomkins or Lewis Tierney?

The answer to that is obvious IMO.

As a season ticket holder if Sam and other have been rested more than injured then yes I do feel cheated.

This is because I don't believe there has been, or is ever, any need to rest players to extent it seems to have happened. Even if we win the GF it won't prove anything in this regard one way or the other.

The fact we had an exciting game on Friday is irrelevant. We still lost at the end of the day and I never find watching a loss ultimately satisfying whether we score some good tries or not. Had we won that match it would have been great but we didn't and if people really don't care what the league results are and just want to see the side win the GF why bother going to league games at all?

Support then becomes a simple matter of statistics. Have we got enough points to qualify for the playoffs and if we have who cares who turns out on the pitch and whether a game like Friday's is won or lost?

Sport is about competition, not statistics and I personally find it ludicrous people are so quick to write off watching reserve strength sides because they are supporters and it is somehow disloyal to do otherwise.

I went on Friday as I am a season ticket holder but I wasn't expecting a win. We did get an exciting game but we still lost. I should not be going to games expecting to lose.
Sponsors don't sponsor the game because they want to watch any particular players, or even because they want a particular team to win. For the sponsors, it is about advertising to the largest possible target audience for the money they pay. For them it is simply about economics, not favourite players.

I don't feel short changed in any way by not seeing Sam Tomkins every game. I don't have a season ticket purely to see a handful of 'star' players. I have a season ticket to support the club and hopefully watch some excellent rugby.

Thanks to some squad rotation I saw one of the best games of the season last night. Can't complain about that.
I took my wife with me on Friday, she thought it was brilliant. "So much enthusiasm" were her words. Personally I get as much pleasure out of seeing the young players developing as I do watching the likes of Sam and Lockers.

I wouldn't go that far Sam's lightning runs and Lockers masterful play is a joy to watch, same goes for Charnley.

I am sure when that happened Millward was being pilloried on here and on rlfans. Now we do it, it is suddenly acceptable?

Double standards.
Not quite the same Dave.
Millward claimed all Saints players were injured but then they refused to provide medical evidence. They also played 25 minutes with 12 men after refusing to send a sub on. I'm sure if Shaun Wane had refused to put 13 players on the pitch he wouldn't be receiving much support on here.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

I do :) at how people are excited to see young players and watching losing games. Given a run of defeats etc etc. you would all soon tire of such excitement and joy.

I disagree with Dave O on this thread but many are somewhat hypocritical IMO.

The majority of supporters could not care less who plays as long as they put up a good show and give value for money.

When Millward was Coach and we were losing more than winning, I went to every game.

Then again there are the minority!

Absolute garbage and you know it. Look at the outcry two big defeats caused. Look at how many coaches lost their jobs, how many players got moved on, how attendances dropped when the team was losing.

People want winning and trophies FIRST & FOREMOST. You are no different!

I think the club has a far more caring attitude to modern day players. Look how many older players like Gilly are stuggling to walk these days through playing when not fit or having to have pain killing jabs to get them through the game.

I was very disppointed eith the U19s coaching staff at not taking off the winger (Scrivens?) this afternoon. The lad had obviously picked up a bad ankle injury as he scored just before half time. They gave him a fitness test during half time and it was obvious that he was in no fit state to play as he ran with a limp and nearly went over every time he tried to side step but he still played the entire 2nd half.

Anyone know why George Williams was taken off as we lost momentum in the 2nd half without him.

I want trophies and that is all! What does it matter if we play well or not?
