I've just seen Sam Tomkins at Euston station , so he's not training today.

I'd prefer him as interchange rather than in the starting team at this point though

If he pays as he did against Hull he could be handy to sap some energy from the
Leeds big lads, breaking them down for our top payers to then use to their advantage.
Wonder if his inclusion is being called 'Operation Breheny'?

Love to see him going toe to toe with Ryan Bailey!

Looking forward to watching Andy Powells development. At the moment I think his running style is a little to upright when going into the collision which makes him a bit easier to put a 'shot on'. Clearly he's still not 100% sure of which side of the PTB to stand when getting back into the defensive line (especially when he's 3rd man in)

Long term though I think he's going to create a big impact with a great off loading game.

Given how well Flower and Dudson have slotted in, I'd have thought we can expect big things from Powell. He is after one of the top players among a very large group, and has been a professional for most/all of his career. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain from playing him on Thursday.

Exactly. It's amazing how fit the squad is for a dead rubber when last week 9 of 'em weren't.

They were rested, not unfit.
