I am of the view give Burke a go at 13 BUT

One name not mentioned is George Williams who IMO will eventually become a 13 or 9 anyway.

The best ball-player among the forwards is Flower but I'm not sure about long-passing and he certainly isn't likely to offer any kicking variation. Farrell would be a good choice - firm, committed, excellent defence, can kick.

If he'd trained on, Gelling would have had a shout but it would be ridiculous now. I quite like the Williams plan but I suspect the management don't have much confidence in him, otherwise he would have played recently.

Tuson was quite good originally at LF but is better in the second row - so Farrell for me, unless you want to really go out on a limb and play Josh Charnley there.

My 1st thought was Green and Hampshire at 6,but I think Wane will play it safe because if it doesn't work we've no more time to bed anyone in,I liked the idea of Gelling there but again a risk,I think he will possibly go with Farrell wasn't he talked about being the successor to Lockers? so here's his chance.

Personally I would go with Farrell and failing that Burke or Lever in that order. I don't think Tuson has the ball handling attributes of those previously mentioned.

Flower could also do the job as I thought he went well for Wales in that position, however I think we need him at prop, especially if we go with Andy Powell on the bench.

Well a lot of people are going for Burke on here but he isn't in the squad for tonight's game.

Therefore I think Farrell will be LF.

I think Tuson will be, but shouldn't be.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

IF Wane is true to his word, Burke should be replacing Lockers. I think the past has shown that musical chairs involving several players just to replace 1 player is unsuccessful. Personally, I think replacing the besy player in SL is a thankless task.
One out one in should be the policy, particularly at the business end of the season. Unfortunately, we have nobody available with the all round skills of Lockers and hence we are going to have to change the way we play/tactics.

I do not have time to look for it BUT Wane stated earlier in the season he would be replacing player for player if injuries occur and that Burke was his LF replacement for Lockers.

Because I don't think Tuson has the right attributes to play LF, as I stated earlier in the thread. He is a line running 2nd row who doesn't have adequate passing or ball skills to play LF in our system. I'm also unsure about his defence in the middle. He can be impulsive jumping out of the line and missing blokes, which out wider you have quicker guys around to cover for you, but not as much in the middle. I don't doubt him as a decnet player at 2nd row who is a useful part of the squad, but I don't think that part is at LF.

However, he has been chosen to play there a bit recently so I think Wane will continue with that.
