How about Matty Smith he did a great job when he played hooker. I think he would also do a great job at 13

Farrell is an option but that means Hansen and Tuson wide in the back row and that provides no attacking threat whatsoever. I can't see much space being created out wide unless the forwards suddenly start to dominate down the middle.

Burke looks like the long term replacement for Lockers and has done well this year but seems to have fallen out of favour. My only concern with Burke is that he's not quite got the physical edge to make an impact down the middle. Those who play down the middle generally don't have that dominance until they've had a few seasons at the top level.

I think Tuson is a little bit more robust and battle hardened. For me Burke, while definitely best as a loose forward long term, has played better out wide at second row because it's not as demanding on a young player physically and allows him to get some good offloads and use his footwork.

Either way, I'd like to see Burke in the team. He hasn't let then team down so far, offers versatility and is probably a better option than Hughes or Lloyd.
Maybe we would start trying to have our forwards win down the middle without Faz wide? Anyway, I wouldn't play Tuson there, I'd play Hughes. He was great against Hull playing in what is his best position, that with Farrell's ability and stamina he hasn't had the opportunity to play enough this season, affecting his form

Hughes isn't in any sort of form and has been error prone this year. Lack of consistency certainly can't have helped him but he did get a decent run of games in the back row at the start of the year but just didn't do enough to impress.
I don't think bringing him back into the side is going to help.
I mean specifically left 2nd row as his best position. Of the top of my head, the Hull game was the only game he started there this season. Rightly so with how well Faz has played by and large, but if Fax plays LF Higghes can play in his best position - LSR. He has been patchy most of the season, but against Hull he was very good.

It's a fair point. His form has been patchy but the game against Hull was probably his best game of the season and he did spend most of the early season playing on the right hand side. It's an option if Farrell moves to loose forward.

There's always the possibility that being relatively fresh compared to many of the other forwards could make him very useful. I'm sure Wane hinted at possible changes so perhaps Hughes might be one of them.
Fair, apart from all my typos! What a mess I made there.

Greg Burke should be playing loose forward. Why is he not even mentioned anymore  Flower should be at prop.

Firmly of the opinion that Flower was a mistake at 13, we lost a big player for us at prop and I saw nothing from him to suggest he has enough talent for 13

Maybe as some are suggesting, a real "out the hat" wildcard with Green or Powell there
