Saturday

Post by mrs_carney »

Wigan Head Coach Ian Millward has named his 20 man squad to face Warrington in the engage Super League at the JJB Stadium on Saturday night, 7.05pm kick off.

The Warriors welcome back stand off Danny Orr who has missed the last six with a hamstring injury and young Liam Colbon is included in the absence of Brian Carney who is out after picking up a hamstring strain at Leigh last Friday. Also included is former Warrington man Jerome Guisset who was sidelined at Hilton Park with a leg injury.

The Warriors 20 is :-

Gleeson, Aspinwall, Vaealiki, Dallas, Orr, Moran, Hargreaves, Godwin, Seuseu, Wild, Hansen, Botham, Allen, Newton, Sculthorpe, Tickle, Coyle, Guisset, Melling, Colbon.

I'd have colbon on the wing with aspinwall as his centre. Drop wild and have tickle and hansen in the 2nd row with botham at 13

Referee: R Silverwood

I'd agree about dropping Stephen Wild. He has seemed short of pace recently and although he is a big lad I reckon we need someone quicker in the centres, especially against Warrington. I thought Danny Orr made a difference when we played at the Halliwell Jones stadium so hopefully he'll do the same on Saturday. It's time Warrington took a tumble and I reckon it will be this weekend.

Colbon definitely deserves another chance...but I hope IM will get him ready to be "targeted" with kicks to his wing.
I'm worried about our centres against Gleeson and Kohe-Love, but I still think we'll win!

Agree with most of what you say, although I am not sure I would have Silverwood as Referee!!
