Book of Condolence
Book of Condolence
I attended the game tonight and it was good to see that there was a minutes silence for those involved in the tragic events in London.
West Ham United have set up a book of condolence and football fans from all around the globe have signed it. I thought it would be nice if some Warriors fans could sign it as well. To show that both sides of Wigan will unite on this actof terror. Unfortunately there is no exact link. The link I would give you will re-direct you to a motherboard site where you have to register. So if you could just leave a replyon this I will copy and paste it on the messageboard.
Thanks.

I don't know which stand you are in, but there were one or two Wigan fans (the ones near the back of South Stand - I think you know who I mean), who were laughing. I hope none of their relatives were involved in the bombing. Shame on them!!mrs_carney posted:

That is true, theres a big discussion about it on rlfans. Apparantly the noise in the wire end was because a guy slapped another guy for talking during the minutes silence and words were exchanged. Don't know what the wigan fans were getting up to, on rlfans its either drunken men or the drummer boys friends who were responsible for the noise in the south stand. Whatever the case, it was just childish, keeping quiet for a minute as a mark of respect isnt exactly hard.

I totally agree Mrs C we heard the laughter in the south stand also & think it was absolutly disgraceful, we felt that these mindless idiots agreed with the tragic events in London. If anyone knows who they are let me know & i will put them right. They are sad low lifes who need to be taught a few lessons, and need to stay away in future.

Re: Book of Condolence
The people that were laughing or shouting, the people that couldnt even give 1 min of their life to show some respect, just showed how small minded and ignorant they are. Save the chanting for the rugby, not when we are remembering those who's innocent lives were lost due to the worst attack on our Captial in over 60 years. I fail to see anything funny about abusing/raping a moment of respect and contemplation for an issue that transcends any sport!
Terrible.
But anyway...that aside, a fantastic night!!!

They knock me sick people who think things like this are funny or can't just keep their mouths shut for one minute. Those people let rugby league down last night, our silences are normally perfect. They've offended me and anyone else who actually had family or friends involved in it for the sake of childishly laughing. Pathetic

I would be happy if those disrespectful people were chucked out by the stewards after the minute of silence finished. i hope you could not hear them on sky as it makes the club look disgraceful and gives us fans a bad reputation
