Hi everyone,

Sent an email to the club asking for an update on player sponsorships.

This is the reply;
Hi Josie,

We’ve nothing I’m afraid – sorry I totally forgot to let you know!!!
So I asked, there aren't ANY players available for sponsorship?
No they’ve all been renewed and the sponsors that had players that have gone have had their players replaced
It seems this forums 'profile' isn't high enough now as when they first started wanting sponsorships several years ago!!!

I'm very disappointed!!

Sorry guys :(,

Thank you to everyone who gave pledges :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Just read this Josie.
I'm bitterly disappointed because it was my way of supporting the team from a distance.
Never mind - next year maybe?
Likewise: thanks for all you're effort.

Just had an after thought: is there no other way we could do something similar?

Sponsor every non first team squad player in the 19's for the same price as 1 first team squad player?

I am annoyed as I know how hard Josie works for this season after season. Why did the club not offer us first refusal on newcomers knowing Chris was leaving?

We didn't continue last year with Chris because I was back & forwards to the hospitals every day for Stephen's treatment & wouldn't have been able to give it 100%.

Luckily, the last year we did do it, I'd sorted everything out near enough before Stephen became ill.

I did ask for someone to take over for last year or to help out, but no one offered to help :(

The U19's are already sponsored by the catering fella Karl.

You're all welcome, just sorry that it hasn't come to fruition :(
