Sam Tomkins debut.

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

The whole concept is fantastic and would love to something like that happen over here (replacing Magic Weekend)with all super league clubs taking part over a weekend with something to win at the end of it all. The atmosphere seems really good with good crowd turn out. Super League take note.
Sam is a Massive Star in NZ as of today. He is being worshiped in League Circles and will draw Millions of NZ Union fans to the Warriors.

They Went nuts for him today.

NZ Fans tend to worship overseas stars more than their own...they've been waiting for someone like Sam ( Steve Price and Brett Tate were the last ).

The Atmosphere was electric. NZ hasn't experienced anything like it.....tomorrow will go nuts

I can remember when Wigan won the World 7s in Aus, 92? No matter what team they put out Aussies take their RL ultra serious. Likewise I can remember GB touring teams struggling v teams of reserves.

It is great that Sam is doing well. The fear is who is next. Charnley's Agent; Andy Peters (ex BBC presenter) has been hawking him around the NRL for 2015 IIRC.

This is completely and utterly wrong, andi's direct comment to me was tell all your mates josh is going nowhere. That story was dismissed almost as soon as andi woke up, look up on his twitter you can see the convo. Josh isn't going anywhere, it's a big year for josh and he's looking forward to it

It was reported by the press, presumably via correspondence that clubs were receiving re Josh. Do you seriously think Andi Peters is going to say YES I have been trying to flog Josh to the NRL. If it was a blatant lie then I have yet to see the RL weekly Monday newspaper forced to print a retraction or for said agent to challenge the paper legally.

Just watched the NZW v Canberra game on premier sports.

Sam and Johnson had great games and Sam already seems to have settled in well.

Give Sam a special cheer from all the Wigan fans MT Smart and let us know how he is doing :D

It was a blatant lie and he is expecting a lot more false stories this season as josh as andi put it is now the face of wigan. If andi wasted his time forcing retractions for his clients he'd have no time to eat nevermind his job. Josh loves playing for wigan and has no intention of leaving, this is good news cp with no negatives

I have complete faith that what CP says is true

If an agent knows a player's contract is close to completion then he would be at fault for not "hawking" his talents around at ANY and ALL possible avenues. Be it the NRL or Union or worse, even the other SL clubs.

All Peters would be doing is suggesting ball park figures to see what would interest Josh in a move elsewhere. Given those figures he would report back to Wigan that if they wanted to keep him, then "X" amount is what would needed or he is "gone"

:eusa4: I give up, Andi has said and done nothing don't let this basic fact get in the way of fantasy.

Original source of this story and was instantly dismissed by the man in question, tbh any one else carrying on this rubbish is their problem. Some people will believe what they want

Are you and Andi close Kaii ?

Right take a deep breath and think carefully. Just because somebody denies something it does not means that it has not happened or is not true. I refer you to the Sam Tomkins transfer debacle as just one of umpteen examples.

P.S If somebody has wasted 5 years on Twitter then I am sure he has enough to pick up a phone and call his solicitor when there is the prospect of easy lucre!
