A real standout performance against a side who didn't properly replace their players in the close season and paid the penalty.

Only weak links - Pettybourne doesn't really convince (maybe he's trying too hard to be the big hitter) and Clubb, who is struggling to cope at a much higher level than London.

Thought Farrell was MOM and our kicking display in the first half was the best in years. Bateman looks the real deal and our bench was far stronger than Warrington's. All this without Lockers and credit to Flower for being able to switch from prop to loose-forward. He was impressive in defence as the game went on.

Best display of the season.

Myler with his talent must be a big disappointment for Smith.
Rather unfortunately, I couldn't go to the game or watch it live, as I had some tickets for a gig which I had well in advance of the game. I got in at midnight and was up watching it on sky plus till 2am.

Thornley has picked his game up since Castleford and out of the two centre's, I don't think his position would be up for debate on his recent performances. I think Sarge has a lot about him and I would be looking at giving him a run on the other side next time out.

Warrington = No Lee Briers, no ideas

Looking forward to watching it again. We now have 3 very winnable games (2 byes) before Good Friday, after which I expect only Leeds will have lost fewer games. As we only need to finish in the top 4, Wire's decline suits us very well indeed.
That Cup draw is a god send as it allows us to rest, rotate and work on formations over the next few weeks.
All of that was without Lockers and Mac (and Powell)...
I never doubted us, but we are ahead of where I expected at this stage. With everyone fit and another favourable Cup draw the double double is a possibility.

Everything is Wonderful in Wanes Wigan World!!
Seriously, a very competent performance. Great defence that really frustrated Wire and brought out the worst of the Bully Boy Westwood. Like all bullys he doesn't like it Up 'Im.
I expect the RFL review panel picks up some of his cheap shots.
Best shot of the night was Slimy Face sulking off after the match interview.
A really great win.

[quote="cpwigan"]Excellent win with superb defence. Thought Bateman and Burgess were both outstanding. Wire look all at sea with ball in hand. Onwards and upwards!![/

Agreed CP add to them Farrell. Did ok without Mickey Mouse Perhaps he's better in the stands. Sorry True Blue

Certainly hope they pick up that shoulder charge on Smith at the end of the first half. Was it also him who put the knees in Flower's face?

Watching the game last night, and then reflecting this morning, I can't help but think that Micky Macs suspension was a blessing in disguise for this one.

If he had been available, he'd have been in the team and given the amount of niggle and wind-ups out there could, and I said could, have ended up getting himself in trouble, leaving us a man short and losing us the game.

As it was, it was a great team perfomance and lets hope that we can keep up the defensive effort for the rest of the season and continue to improve on the attack!
