Seriously, a very competent performance. Great defence that really frustrated Wire and brought out the worst of the Bully Boy Westwood. Like all bullys he doesn't like it Up 'Im.
I expect the RFL review panel picks up some of his cheap shots.
Best shot of the night was Slimy Face sulking off after the match interview.
A really great win.
Certainly hope they pick up that shoulder charge on Smith at the end of the first half. Was it also him who put the knees in Flower's face?
Really good 80 min performance. Bowen is not gonna be sam as already said he's an out and out full back but he's still a well rounded player. Bateman really looked very impressive along crosby wish no one had held him back so he could have give westwood what he deserved. But burgess just seems to be something special he will be better than pat richards.

Re; Mickey Mac, If I was in the trenches I would feel far better for having him alongside me.
There are'nt any trenches in RL CP but I do regonise metaphor and Hyperbole unlike some others. So while we're in the trenches I'd sooner be with a James Robry than MM who would probabley be AWOL (in the stands watching) For the avoidance of doubt I think MM is a good player but not much use to us if he's sat on the sidelines. He is getting a reputation that if it continues won't do us much good. He's not yhe bees knees and I think we should look to replace him I'm available Even at 70
Great improvement and left most of us feeling a lot more upbeat.
Can't believe some comments re Micky Mac. In the 2010 Grand Final he outplayed Cunningham and Roby, and he was to me the clear Man-of-the-Second half in this year's final. He's like Lockers - if you want somebody who goes into overdrive in big games - MM is your man. As somebody said earlier, you have to have at least a couple of players with genuine aggression and who actually ENJOY tackling. Replay a few of Micky's tackles and you're seeing NRL quality tackling.
Logan is good but not yet as good as MM.
Agree with every word about Bateman - he's seriously good. Burgess is one of those rare kids who was born knowing how to play RL - like Sam or Sean Edwards or Faz (or even Gaz Hock). The crowd lifts every time he gets the ball. He and Thornley just might be as good or better than George & Pat.
I would be interested to discover how often Mac has been sent off in his Wigan career and/or suspended. I have no figure but the impression I get is rarely if ever sent off but suspended post match review 3 or 4 times? I could be totally wrong BTW. However, if I am close that is not bad for a player who makes so many tackles and hurts opposing players when doing so. I thought at times we lost the collision v Wire albeit our kicking game was very good whereas Wire kicked abysmally. Wire seems to be targeting Logan / George. Logan IMO had an excellent game but his tackling is passive losing the floor battle albeit effectively made in terms of not missing.

Firstly Roby is a class Hooker, however he is only class when he has not been in MM's pocket for the last 5-6 times they have played against each other! Even Cunnigham and Roby together couldn't stop MM!! In all the games MM has played for Wigan how many times has he been sent off? I know you are entitled to an opinion and we have to be careful what we say to fellow posters but speaking of trenches you are certainly digging your own here regarding MM and sounding a bit foolish, in my humble opinion of course!!
Ps Our double winning coach isn't looking to get rid of him considering he has just signed a new 4 year deal, let's hope he adds more medals to his impressive collection, he might even be kind enough to give Roby a winners medal!!

What is interesting re Bateman is that he is not particularly big but he rarely loses the battle in contact offensively or defensively. He seems deceptively strong with better than the norm balance. At this stage he looks the natural successor to Lockers.
Longer term if we still have them all I wonder if Josh will play right centre with Burgessand Manfredi on the wings.

That was Higham.
He ended up worse (from a flailing Taylor boot):
Is it me, or are those bruises changing colour each time I look at the puc?

.
Someone on RedVee says he's 'been before the disciplinary 22 times' Means nothing in itself really.
Micky is one of my favourite players, albeit not captain material. My fave moment was against Leeds when Sinfield was approaching a scrum. "Oi, what are you doing? "F*** Off!"
