I understand what you are saying PW.
We seem to have half backs so called, playing out of position.
Rocky as a previous half playing at full back, Sam Powell and George both turning out as hooker.
Are we lacking in depth for positions such as 1 and 9 having to use players previously utilised in other positions.
Personally I think Rocky is better suited as a 6 but we all have our opinions. :D

Definitely need Flower back and somebody other than Dudson to counteract their impact props. Second row - we could match them if we play well. Half-backs - dunno. Centres/wings - anybody's guess, Burgess is good but so is Swift.
I thought Dudson had a stinker of a game last night Ted, and Jordan James put in the hard graft. I would rather see a young prop given a chance instead of someone who just didn't seem interested.
Walsh is playing far better than any of our current halves ever have in my opinion and if he is on his game he brings them together.
Its a derby that they will be up for and I can't see us being 10 points close. Head not heart saying this.

Are you saying Jordan James isn't interested?

If you are you are completely wrong, JJ knows his limitations and is willing to play any part in this team. For me he's been a good edition to the team and not just on the field

Dudson has been pants for a while now. Is he good enough? I could say time will tell, unfortunately I don't think we can afford him time. Not good enough for WW.

Both Dudson and James have been dual registered with Workington Town and I went to one of their recent games.
Like last night, James tried his best 100% and Dudson layed off tackles just not seeming interested. It was the same last night IMO and like you I dont see where Dudson justifies his selection unless he massively improves.

Dudson is playing nothing like when he first came to the club and if he does not improve, I cannot see him being offered a new contract so it might be better to let him go before he becomes a free agent.

I don't think replacing him with Hampshire would be the smart thing to do. For any flaws that he has, Green picks out passes brilliantly on his day and the link between him and Farrell can be one of the best attacking options.
I think left/right side makes a difference and Hampshire has played predominantly on the right in the U19's. It might not seem like a big deal but defensively it can be difficult for players.
His defence also isn't as good as it could be and is probably his weakest point. He's not a solid tackler at the moment and is very lightweight.

If Green was going to be dropped (which I very much doubt) then surely Powell and Williams would be the likely replacements at this moment in time.
In all fairness from what I have seen of Green, I don't particularly rate his defence

Thornley should be rested and Gellinmg should be given a run, poor buggers had nowhere near as many games as he should have had

I will admit NEE at the moment Green on Fri was poor along with many of his teammates,he goes through periods like a lost sole.As you know halfbacks play off the good work of the forwards, this has not been happening of late.
