Joel Tomkins???
Joel Tomkins???
I have heard that he is being chased by Salford as Saracens need to cut their wage bill. This could be a move we are interested in with Thornley out for the rest of the Season and not long left in the union season. Would be a good move if it happens and he hasn't played much rugby this year so he may be up for a move to get more regular appearances
Re: Joel Tomkins???
According to the Sarries website he's injured.

Well, alongside Sam, SBW, Greg Inglis, Kevin Locke and Tim Sheens, you have to admit he is in stellar company!Richymac wrote:I have heard that he is being chased by Salford

Whatever happened to Billy McGinty's pineapple?
Re: Joel Tomkins???
Well - we do have the money.
And we are short of a decent centre. But I'd put JT back in the second row.

Great news if it comes off

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Joel Tomkins???
I thought after the WCC we were after larger forwards?
Joel is a back rower who's 6'5" - a big man.
Maybe we still hold his registration, which if we are after him then surely we could outbid a rival club as they'd have to pay a transfer fee as well as match our salary offer.
A great rumour!

Re: Joel Tomkins???
Would have him back in a heartbeat. Was a step back when he left, and he's a player we need, either as a centre or a forward.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Re: Joel Tomkins???
I'd have him back without doubt, especially if he was the only Tomkins on the pitch. He got a reputation as a penalty machine but half the time he was just looking out for Sam. That try at Wembley was one of the all time greats!
