I never said I did not like RL just that British RL is a let down. I grew up in an era when football was boring to watch and blighted by hooliganism on the terraces. TL was on the up, with some magical players and some amazing RL. Once a fan, always a fan, that is me. Others can do as they please.
RL made such progress in this country and yet it was thrown away and we are left with something which is poor in comparison and that make me angry because the custodians of the sport have allowed it to happen.
If I was a teenager today I doubt I would be a RL fan!

Re: Nothing amazing
Cpwigan is spot on re playing Leeds. They are very much as we were under Madge as already been said by a few posters. At Magic, we need to pound the middle of the field and getting their forwards backtracking. Their defence did not look the best when we attacked the ruck on Friday.
Also one thing that really frustrated me was our last play options! Why on earth we kept going to the crossfield high bomb with a half-hearted chase I do not know. What is wrong with finding touch, or even kicking it dead (even though it is negative play) and making them start with a 20m restart with our defensive line organised? I am intruiged in how Wane will adjust our game for 2 weeks time, this team has shown in the past it does learn lessons and adapt their game. I for one, think we will and come away with a win.

Why keep going on about the game prior to 1996 when it all changed and Union became professional and stopped the flow of players to our game and now attract players in the reverse direction.cpwigan wrote:I never said I did not like RL just that British RL is a let down. As for being a teenager today, you no doubt like a few others around Wigan today would jump on the Latic's bandwagon.
