I've never gone in for slagging players off and Carney was one of my favourites but his attitude and general body language of late are now going to leave a nasty taste in the mouth. He's had some unfortunate injuries which we don't like to see any of our players suffer and when he played so well in the tri nations last year we all got excited again but it was back to square one as soon as our domestic season started. He doesn't want to play for us anymore well that's fine, I don't want to see him play for us anymore either, and its a shame that the great tries he did score will be forgotten quicker than the way he has waved two fingers at the club and the fans. Must have a look when he plays in the NRL to see if he can run in a straight line because he can't do it over here even if there is nobody in front of him. The only reason he is anxious to play for Wigan again is so that Brian Noble will give him a spot in the GB team to play his new mates and I hope Brian Noble has more sense than to pick a player with so little match practise over the last two seasons and who is so injury prone. Rant over.
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

In all, a good rant, he left us some cracking memories but he just doesn't want to play for Wigan anymore, which is a shame because it's a privelage and there are so many people who would give everything they've got just because they're wearing cherry and white.

i think that you are all unfairly being very unfair towards him.

you say that he is crap and has not done anything fot the club when he clearly has. if he had not then he would now have been a fan favourite.

and if you had the chance to acomplish your dreams themn you would clearly go for it unless there is something worng with you.

so i think we should back him up until his last game instead of booing him whenever he appears on the big screen!

Since his return from injury he's looked slow, has been very ineffective going forward, and against Leeds was probably our worst defender with Bai and Senior making him look an idiot whilst he just stood and watched them run past. Yes, he's had some good times, but he was out for most of last season and has been missing or not playing well for most of this season. People have short memories, but unfortunately his form in the last couple of years has not been what made him popular with fans.

He'd already arranged to do that the year after, and no-one would have had much of a bad word to say if he'd honoured his contract, even if he weren't playing as well as we know he can. But here he's forced the club's hand by saying he effectively doesn't want to be here anymore. Imagine where the club would be if we speccies adopted this attitude, and we don't get nice big salaries from the club!

I don't agree with booing anyone in Wogan colours (unless Slongy came back to the club or if we ever signed Spotty Iestyn!), and it's not like he's defecting to union, or worse, St Helens. But unless his form improves I won't cheer him either.

yes but you said that he has slowed down but by going earlier we can get a "better" winger in to replace him. therefore is he not doing the club a favour?

Or maybe he could have trained hard over the winter to regain his speed and fitness. On current form he shouldn't be picked for GB, but his new club are going to expect him to be fit for them, so why not stay and get fit to play for Wigan? If he were going to rubbish permanently then the Aussie clubs wouldn't be interested in him.

No he is devaluing the club by leaving in a time of turmoil and as an experienced player and country rep he is looked up to by the youngsters and fans so what kind of message is he sending out?
