Wigan Walk!!!
Wigan Walk!!!
I find it disgraceful that fans can walk before the end of the game. Some fans need to look at the badge!! Read the words ancient and LOYAL!!! LOYAL being the key word!!!
I found it embarrasing that the wakefield fans were singing Loyal supporters! Just cause we are losing doesn't mean we have to walk and call it a day- fans that walk should be called GLORY SUPPORTERS!!!!

Re: Wigan Walk!!!
A lot of supporters leave games a few minutes before the end.
1. To beat the traffic
2. To get to the pub/club for a few pints.
It's nothing to do with deserting the team. It's about getting the most out of the night. Watch on a Friday night when Wigan are well in front (not too often this season) and you will see the same people leaving early.

I live in Caernarfon and if i get to my car at the final whistle i can be home by midnight with a good road. If i get stuck could be round 1am.
Problem i have i start work at 5am.
Selfish people like her who come on here should realise people have differing reasons for going early. Stop putting everyone in the same basket. We struggle and attendeances are up. Hows that for loyalty. If we were being disloyal surely attendances would drop. Support for the tema is on the up for the first time in years and we struggle.

I raised the point that some people leave early regularly for their own reasons. It's great that you travel so far and stay to acknowledge the lads efforts. Everyone isn't the same. Just as some supporters are hyper-critical of players and team performances while others are more patient with players who don't perform consistently well.willie c posted:

As long as you pay your money to support your team you are entitled to an opinion just as you have the right to leave early if you want to.
I think that these days Wigan fans are no different than other fans for leaving early. For example, many Wires fans were on their way several minutes before the end last night.

your point about other fans is spot on the other week when saints stuffed the bulls, bulls fans where on the way out 20 mins into the second half

I wanted to go early on Friday because I had somewhere to go to, but you know what puts me off? There's two grown men near where I sit and they get REALLY angry when people start walking out, winning or losing. I can understand their frustrations, but dare I say, I'm scared of getting up incase they start giving me verbal abuse. :conf:

If you're in the south stand you should sit at the end of a row. If you have a season ticket in the East or West get yourself a move next year. You don't want to sit next to a couple of abusive pigs anyway.
