Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Disciplinary
Do we know if the player that wound Gelling up is up on a charge?

Re: Disciplinary
Player who put a knee in on Gelling got a warning letter.
Hopefully thay can both get away with an early guilty plea.

Re: Disciplinary
Faz having a grade B will get one game with an EGP.
That's both him and Bateman out of the Saints game.

Re: Disciplinary
Farrell and Gelling Charged
Four players have been charged with disciplinary offences following incidents in First Utility Super League Round 17 fixtures.
Liam Farrell of Wigan Warriors has been charged with Grade B lifting in a 32nd-minute tackle on Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player Taulima Tautai in a fixture played on Sunday June 22.
Anthony Gelling of Wigan has been charged with Grade A punching in the 58th minute of the same match.
Any suspension would cause the players to miss Friday's huge local derby against St Helens at the DW Stadium.
Bradford Bulls player-coach Matt Diskin and Neville Costigan of Hull KR have both been charged with Grade A striking in the 18th minute of a match played on Friday June 20.
The four players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel; all four have until 11.00am on Tuesday June 24 to submit Early Guilty Pleas.
The Match Review Panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:
Matthew Ryan (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) - use of knee in a 58th-minute tackle on Anthony Gelling of Wigan Warriors;
James Greenwood (London Broncos on loan from Wigan) - dangerous contact with Jason Chan of Huddersfield Giants in the 48th minute.

Re: Disciplinary
The Gelling charge is laughable. An opponent is charged with sticking the knee into him, what do they expect!

Surely the Jamie Peacock provocation defence should be used no!?cpwigan wrote:The Gelling charge is laughable. An opponent is charged with sticking the knee into him, what do they expect!

Re: Disciplinary
Fed up of Wigan payers being charged for offence's which are no worse than many carried out on them on them, but nothing done about the offenders.
