Does not work IMO. Wish talking about other games which is natural and the non game garbage from twitter kills the good bits when they actually commentate on the game they are watching.

Well i am a Bristolian Wigan fan with a young family so i don't get to go to games anymore and i think Wigan TV/Wish Fm are doing a great job!! It may go off on a tangent from time to time(Wish Fm) but i find that part of the charm. Keep up the good work.

I think the point is RRR whilst that might be fine for radio as Cherry states it does not work for TV. Whenever they go off from calling the action it becomes like watching pictures where the commentary is out of sync. The commentary works better for radio because that is what it is meant for. The folly of twitter though is when the info is duff and a death (false twitter account) is commented upon.

I know for one club, Micron had a presenter / caller who would add the commentary post match the day after hilst watching the recorded match. Not sure that is an answer either.

I think what you guys do works fine on the radio, though I did prefer the guy you used to do it with to the newer guy. Maybe it could be edited more when on Wigan TV to cut out irrelevant stuff from the radio broadcast. But then that might seem unnatural too.

I'm well aware of what an error that was made by me on Sunday Afternoon. Trust me I'm mortified that I made it. It just blurted out of me in shock of reading it. I just didn't think and that was naivety and inexperience on my part. Massive lesson learned and I will learn from it.

In any case, I don't normally actually read the twitter myself during commentaries but was doing so on this occasion because I was using it to keep listeners up to date with the scores from the Warrington and Widnes matches for the benefit of the listeners (it's the easiest way to do so).

Also on Sunday we had reports from the St Helens match to deal with so it was was a far tougher afternoon that it usually would be. The Widnes effort was far smoother in my opinion.

I suppose the bottom line with this Wigan TV link up is whether having this radio commentary is better than no commentary at all. There is always the mute button I suppose.

Obviously whether Wigan would want to (financially) but it may be better to edit the radio commentary (not sure how). The alternatives are either pay a commentator / post match commentate or the mute button.
