I think people are forgetting that James is employed by the club in a coaching role first and foremost and therefore has to be around the club day in and day out. If he therefore can help out in an injury crisis as a player why not? When it comes to the business games he will be no where near our 17 and therefore shows that in the real world he is not good enough for Wigan. The youngsters will not be held back by James at all and Greenwood is on loan because we can loan him out as we don't employ him as a coach as well, that is not an option with James. Finally playing James or Greenwood in 16 games for a total of probably 300 minutes of RL or Greenwood playing week in week out at another SL club albeit a struggling one, which will give Greenwood the drive and hunger to make it at Wigan? Going out on loan does not do any harm because the bottom line is if you have the ability and the application you will make it at Wigan and James won't stop you!!

Exactly, and I suspect the younger props understand his role at the club and why in some games, he is is selected ahead of them.

I'm not so sure I think that greenwood would have been better having those minutes in our systems and our game days where you are expected to win not lose.

My point is that he brings nothing to the team, I mean deacon is on the coaching staff shall we give him a playing contract to? Rads? Maybe wane should pitch in at prop?

Jordan gets some stick on this forum, I wonder what his contribution actually is. How many times has he played this season and how many times have we won/lost in these games in comparison to the games he wasn't involved.

Very easily misconstrued stat that can be

I often felt when the consensus was we couldn't win without Sam it was more the fact that lockers tended to be out at the same time

Jordan James gives his all to the cause but ultimately is FAR from good enough. Give James Greenwood/Ryan Sutton more game time.
