Read my Les Dawson thread Jack. I was there today and if anyone believes Bradford beat us, they are deluded. We handed over 2 points which were no use to either team. Wane knows where he wants us to finish and the hubcap does not figure in his plans.
Let's be honest here, you don't destroy a team 84-6 then lose to a much weakened version. I've watched better games played by Under 8s!
Couldn't agree more. We are having the p**s taken out of us big time. I'm sick of paying good money to travel to games to witness effortless crap. I dont mind if we get beat fair and square, but no one, including Shaun Wane, will convince me that we honestly tried to win that game today.
I feel like I have been mugged, and not for the first time this season.
and herein lies the problem of having a league that is nothing more than a long pre-season. The RFL need to bring some power back to winning the league or its going to start really effecting season tickets.
its literally pointless the league, doesnt matter a single bit anymore and teams know it, that for me is the reason that hudds and cas have seen an increase in success, its not that the league is getting closer its simply the big teams keep their powder dry till the playoffs start
Whilst I totally agree with the comments that what our team dished up yesterday was just not good enough and just not what we expect from our team that we pay our money to go and see, I think its a little remiss to blame it on the league system and some attempt to not win the LLS for some reason. Lets not forget some were questioning the team selection becuase we should have won it easily and have a 'tougher' game on a quick turnaround to Thursday but Wane actually selected what was arguably for some/many his stringest available and fit 17.
I think it was an attitude that we would just go and win and nothing else.
Was it the fault of the way the Challenge Cup was organised that we couldn't beat a much inferior to us Salford team in 1996?
Was it the fault of the first past the post championship in 1993-1994 that we only won on points difference that we lost to Hull KR who were releagted that year or Wakefield who narrowly weren't?
I'm sure you could find examples of games form every year where we haven't beaten teams that we should have done.
I blame the attitude because of the opposition on this one, nothing else. Unprofessional from our players. We didn't play well enough as we were expecting to win easily, Bradford did play above the level thay have been doing, helped by our poor play encouraging them, there is nothing more sinister in it than that in my opinion.
We only need one more point to mathematically seal playoffs, so if we draw on Thursday I guess its cue on the rack time, might as well not go to any other games, including Leeds and Warrington at home. (see you all there anyway!)
