I read that to mean the announcement was at 5am in the morning. That would suggest an Aussie signing.

A top quality centre would be my choice.

Richie Mathers to re-sign?

:eh:
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

if it is for 5am is there a reason why that would be, it seems a bizarre time to announce something, it'll just be the middle of the afternoon in Aus/NZ, hope I'm wrong though. I thought of the big one because of the original tweet saying "BIG announcement"

The announcement won't be to do with a match, it will be to do with a signing. I'm thinking Tommy. Or at least a player from Oz.

But it says early night for us as we are up again at 5. So I don't think it's the big one.

Reports in Aus say Sam T is homesick and wants to come back early.

Who knows it could be anything but if it's the big one 5 it will be a massive fail by the club.

It wont be Sam. Doubt it would be Leuluai. Matty Smith has signed a new deal and we have made a play for Travis Burns.

James Donaldson has signed for Wigan. Good signing.

Not sure why we would sign Donaldson. He is injured a lot and lacks size IMO.

I hope we do not sign Tommy either. We need to look forward.

Leuluai would not be an improvement on Smith (kicking game) or McIlorum at staring hooker. Having him off the bench would limit game time for Powell/Williams/Hampshire.

I am told that Matty Smith has signed a new deal at Wigan.

Never rated Tommy as a kicker. I always felt he was a better 9 than a half and if he played half, his halfback partner had to do all the organising / playmaking. Leave him in NZ and lets move on. He has not done much for the NZW.

If the Big announcement is Big one 5 then this evening will be a bigger let down than the team yesterday.

If it includes Matty Smith new deal or Sam Tomkins returns in 2015 or 2016 then i will be a happy bunny.
