rumour has it that stains will next year become liverpool stains and play at anfield
good or bad?
good or bad?
Re: liverpool stains
Where has this rumour come from? They are desperate to do something with the ground situation but there are plenty of Saints fans who hate the scouser label so this might not go down very well at all.Lockers15 posted:

It was bad enough for us moving across town to a new ground but moving out of town completely could be a complete disaster. I doubt they would convert many Liverpudlians to RL. They are far too much in love with their soccer teams so while they may get some increase in crowds out of curiosity initially, longer term I don't think they would retain the curious and many of their current fans.

are you sure that premiership teams cannot share a ground unless they already have been doing?mike binder posted:what ruling about ground sharing ,there is none and liverpool are rumoured to be moving them selves ground share in multi stadium with everton :eh:wiganrldeanh posted:this rumor doesnt seem a convincing one does it......it isnt very strong and i dont think that anybody would see it happen.Lockers15 posted:

anyway if not I dont think it will happen as liverpool wont want a "stupid little rugby team" messing up the pitch at anfield.

Re: liverpool stains
Liverpool & Everton have definitely ruled out ground sharing, so I think that one is dead and buried. As for premier clubs ground sharing with another sport, I think it was mentioned on here a few weeks ago when Latics got promoted, that premier clubs could not ground share, but someone said that if a football club in a lower division, who were already sharing, got promoted into the premier league that that agreement would stand. A club already in the premier league could not ground share. I think I have got that right!
Re: liverpool stains
Probably someone seeing some of the banter in the letters pages of League Express, where there's an argument amongst Saints fans about the reaction to the Champions League soccer trophy being paraded at the Safari Park or some such thing. One bloke is saying they should be proud of their near-neighbours and wants more links with Liverpool, others say they're not scousers and don't want to anything to do with them. Summat like that anyway, I stopped reading pretty early on. I think someone's trying to twist this to create some new rumours. Keeps 'em amused I suppose.DaveO posted:
