London v Leeds

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Except Stains who will probably win it by default!
Unless the RFL make finishing top more rewarding then clubs will choose to rest players. I like CPW's idea, the league leaders should represent the comp in the WCC.

I don't think the NRL will agree!

why wouldn't they?

Personally i would like to see us stop flogging the dead horse of internationals and have a super cup at the end of the playing season 4 best of SL against 4 best of NRL but thats a different story

IOO% AGREE WITH BEST 4 IN SL AGAINST BEST IN OZ. Competition drives up standards, and we are not that far off ,so nottoo much despair and embarrassment. Too much insularity and parochialism in Superleague,we need to face the best on a regular basis. REGARDS

Leeds took a risk with their team selection at London and it failed.
Well done London.

As for making the top spot in the League more attractive or more rewarding, go to a top three play off with the Top club going straight to Old Trafford for the GF with a week off. Then have clubs 2 & 3 play off for the other OT place.

That would concentrate minds as to the worth of coming top at the end of the regular season.

I dunno ted - there has been a long standing tradition of teams that have a week off in the playoffs actually being worst as a result.
