Site styles

I save my site style, 2009 Charity and often it returns to default 2014 home strip diagonal stripes which isnt the best on my eyes.
Why does this happen and can it be fixed?

Or, just wait until 2015 and then we'll have a nice new style hopefully with nice horizontal bands!
