DaveO, I believe Flower will learn from this as he seems an intelligent person.
On RFLfans is there no mention of the thuggish behaviour from Hohaia that started it? No didn't think so!!
The lack of attention given to Hohia is pretty understandable IMO given the way the incident panned out. Technically he committed a serious foul also but giving a red card to a player out cold is a step beyond any referee.
What gets my goat is that there is a clear view from other fans that Wane sends out his players to basically maim the opposition with foul play and because this happened it is justice for how we play.
Madge has even been mentioned for God's sake. It all stems from then apparently.
The irony is in my view if there was a deliberate tactic on show it is that Bown sent his players out to provoke a reaction and Flower fell for it. Hohia took one for the team and did his job in that regard.
This is no excuse for Flower is the winding up goes on all the time in games. He should not have fell for it at all and maybe Wane did pump him up too much so he did but the view Wigan are a thuggish team is stupid.
But even if Hohaia was dead what he did by the letter of the law was a sending off and should have resulted in one!!
Yes but it is unrealistic to expect it would have once he was out cold and Flower had hit him again.
If Hohia had not got a glass jaw things may well have been different.
Perhaps Flower would still have walked has Hohia still been stood up and we'd be pointing to last year when Westwood did not but this is hypothetical.
Apparently Ben Flower has been arrested as he was getting on the team coach.... From a good rugby source... No idea if true, but the source is normally bob on

Arrested by who? Steve Ganson?

Not sure of the details, just got a text stating he had been arrested getting on the coach, from a good reliable source, may turn out to he rubbish, but I doubt it, he's normally 100% on the money

if that is true, I believe it is a step too far. Professional full contact sport has its instances of madness like this, and has its own disciplinary system to deal with it.
They did say something on sky at one stage of the reason Saints were not saying anything about the specifics of lh condition was due to possible actions im sure that's what they said.

If this is not bullshit, RL died tonight
I'm not 100% but when they first went for an update I thought I heard something along those lines
While we may not agree on the flower specifics, I too would be aggrieved to see it any further that a rugby matter as I think that would set a dangerous precedent

If it is true then my interest in RL ends. The precedent it would set and the repercussion would kill the sport.
