Unfortunately, so will all us supporters. The fall-out from this isn't going to go away for a long time and it'll cover our great club with the worst publicity we could never wish for.
I just hope the P.R. people at the club have all the answers ready to fend off a bloodthirsty media circus.

The RFL have a difficult job with all the publicity on this one. The second punch is all the press are talking about, the game itself is virtually forgotten. They will feel that they must be seen to act in a tough way.
The only mitigation I can see is not a no. of matches, but duration led ban.
Out for 6 months is just over 8 matches (quick calcualation), but sounds a lot worse than 8 matches.

It has been a PR disaster for the club. IL did a lot of work to change the clubs image from the confrontational one it had under DW.

Since then he has had a couple of run-ins over the salary cap and the TV deal which gave some an excuse to have a go and now after that documentary coupled with what Flower did Wigan are back to being the pariahs of RL.

The fact that LH has been charged just shows how biased bentham is and was on Saturday as this proves that LH should have been sent off as well.

Correct.

Flower cost us the GF win but Bentham also cost us the GF by not applying the rules. He did the same against Wire his ability to make the right call now must be in doubt.

Or is he biased.

I reckon 12+. And TBH he woudl deserve that.

I'm not actually that bothered about the publicity. Any publicity is good publicity - at least it gets people interested.

Really 12+?

Was it 10 games worse than what Westwood did? What Hohaia did? What Wood did? What Chase did? What Hardaker did?

I agree he deserves a lengthy suspension but it has to be relative to other incidents/punishments!!

Is LH is found guilty then the match officials stuffed up. The handling of the start E.G Masoe was a recipe for disaster.

Why do you think he deserves that Mike? Nobody was seriously hurt. In RL you can break an opponents jaw and receive less than 6 matches.

The incident from start to finish was bizarre, sad and comedic. I cannot even recall children running 30 yards after an opponent to attack another player.

Question

Will the preseason games count towards any suspension
