So if LH is found guilty, basically we were robbed by biased incompetent officials. As much as I love RL I'm getting more and more disillusioned with the inconsistent way that the officials referee game's that sometimes seem to have their own agenda.

Flower will get a long ban because of the media attention it has attracted as a result of the game being on television and the reaction it has caused all over the world.

The RFL are in a difficult situation as they are under pressure from outside sources to implement a long ban and it could even be more than the maximum eight matches for a F grade offence to show the world that they deal in a positive way on that kind of incident.

If the incident had not been on television, would we have had to same amount of bad publicity for our game.

The answer is NO!

I think he will get a long ban too mainly because of where and when he did it, with so many people watching worldwide. If he had been standing up and landed the same punches it would have been better but kneeling over someone and punching them when they are already immobile - for whatever reason - seems to be the main reason for the likely ban being so long. Sadly that particular image is the one that will stick in the mind. I look at Ben Westwood and see him punching Blake Green last year, I look at Ryan Bailey and remember him with his ankle tag, Joel Monaghan makes me feel sorry for his dog - the list goes on. The Telegraph has produced an interesting piece about happenings in our sport which some would be happy to forget http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyl ... nfamy.html
there are other articles in the same paper suggesting he should get a lifetime ban and another article suggesting people look up the video aired last week about our trip down under for the World club challenge - have to confess I squirmed a bit about some of the things that were said in that programme and in many ways it is a shame it was ever made, comments can be taken out of context at a time like this.

The Telegraph should remember that there have incidents in their beloved game of Union which have been just as bad if not worse than in League before they make comments about our incidents in our game.

And they are not on their own where the 'broadsheet' newspapers are concerned, especially the Sunday Times.

Given we now know what he has got this thread seems redundant.

So I'll lock it to tidy up a bit.
