England v Kiwis Spoiler

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

I think he is getting a lot of help from Paul Deacon
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I don't know about that. We used to *beat* the aussies 1 out of 3 and beat the NZers 2 out of 3. Now we scrape losses whilst looking good and making small but crucial mistakes. It Ferris traps the ball with his foot and passes we win. He didn't do it did he.

How long do we have to wait before a good team can play well enough to win?

When's even is the next time we get to play - the internation calender stil hasn't been agreed i think.
I thought it was agreed that NZ were playing us over here next year?

I'm gutted but not as down as in other tournaments.

We was robbed v the Aussies and a bit more creativity would have won today.

If Roby and maybe MM were available, think we would have won both games.
Thought Clarke had an excellent game IMO
So do I. Meant Roby as the other hooker to Clarke, or MM at a pinch.

Clarke would have fitted in nicely at Wigan next year. ,at expense of Bowen, with one of our switching to full back. With 4 big props ,MM, and Patrick in the second row ,we could then fill in the runners and athletes around them running the gaps. A set 17 to target the CC.

MM as in Mickey Mac in the 2nd row? Considering you have a fixation with size in the 2nd row and us needing to be bigger it is strange you want one of our smallest in there! If you are a troll at least be a good one, if you are just lacking knowledge then do some homework!!

If I have read it wrong then I apologise!!

No TBW , I think there is room in a Wigan 17 for MM and Clarke sharing the so called distributor position because they are both excellent players good enough singly and together to run the side as long as the heavies are heavy,ie 4 big props, Patrick at no 11 and the rest doing the running and scoring .,RL is not really a structured game, its a balance of power and athleticism. For a tidy mind you could have Clarke nominaly at stand off ,and maybe a WILLIAMS ,assuming he comes thru on his promise ,as the last man in the squad,to cover. Wane does not seem to grasp this.He ,Williams, looks a mini heavy in the making. That looks a reasonably balanced 17 ,especially compared to the pitiful GF squad.Would need Charnley or Sarge at full back.

Struggling to edit this, and had only one bottle of wine, so far.A so called heavy player ,hopefully the emerging Williams?, has to be as good as the players he is covering, not a bibs and bobs mediocre half back. Wane seems not to see the whole 17 as a entity with its own power and dynamics, so we can end up with an inferior bmodel if its power balance is not maintained.Gods sake, its not rocket science.

Whaddaya mean. He was great at charging out of the line flapping his arms like a bird. I'm sure that was what Banana had told him to do.

Did you think the Kiwis always had us under control? That in their heart of hearts they thought these guys have some good players ,but not enough? That was my impression, though not really sure.
