Fans Forum Returns for 2015

Ww I have attended every forum and asked questions and made comments so your comment is redundant. I am working thursday!

At least supporters are getting the chance to say something or ask a question which is not the case at many clubs.

WW on the face of it, it sounds a great idea but the reality is very different. It was always stage managed and became increasingly so with a large part of the evening being a presentation. It is a while since the last one as it was Mick Hogan the then CEO 'baby' although Joe Lydon may have held one before at the Deanery but IIRC, even the questions were selected prior to commencing albeit the very early forums would have some incredulous questions, IIRC there was one about shredded wheat or breakfast cereal.

Far more can be communicated on the club website / TV channel etc.

Was you at the one at the DW where I confronted Mr Lenegan about moving the Good Friday game to a Thursday? He wasn't a happy man with me that night & actually wouldn't speak to me for a couple of years

If Ben Flower is brought up I hope some fans challenge the club for not mounting a vigorous defence that Ben was not the only player guilty of foul play and that attacks upon Ben Flower by Ben Flower both in February when Ben was found now guilty V Saints of foul play and post GF that Ben was/is a 'dirty' player with form were never challenged and has not been to this day and that later Saints media comments are a façade. Moreover, if IL backs Saints he would do well to remember how his so called friend at Saints failed to back him v the RFL when IL was campaigning for change and progress. Over 6 months Wigan RLFC sat back and contributed to the Flower dismissal.

If you are so incensed at the club over the way they handled the Flower matter, then why not write to IL expressing your dissatisfaction instead of keep going on about it on here and trying to get others to do something which you will not do yourself.

WW try reading and understanding. I express my views to individuals and I always have done, I also express my views on various forms of media. I could not attend last night, first one I have missed so I added some thoughts here.

Totally with you here CP, really would have wanted IL to stand up for Flower more.

The problem is the second punch and the image it created (exaggerated by the media and slow mo's). If it were one punch im sure IL and the club would have really backed him, but what can IL do to back him without sounding like they are making excuses/justifying/condoning his behaviour. We all know how the media spins things, and if the club backed Flower, the media will soon have the club down as condoning his behaviour.

You then have the criminal side of things. If (and its a big if) the sanction was less, I suspect Saints would have pushed for a criminal investigation. If I was Ben id rather have the punishment come from the RFL and Wigan than from the CPS
